With a hybrid design featuring dual XLR and USB connectors, the Rode NT1 5th Generation is the first of its kind to combine the purity of analogue with the convenience of USB-C to offer one innovative solution for professional audio recording. Thanks to this hybrid approach, Rode is also able to include a 32-bit float digital output with high-resolution 192kHz A/D conversion. In practice, this makes the dynamic range of the analogue to digital converters match the capsule, eradicating any unwanted clipping.

Another first for the NT1 5th Gen is the onboard DSP processing. With advanced APHEX audio processing, users have access to everything from the compressor and noise gate to a high-pass filter, Aural Exciter and Big Bottom effects directly on the microphone. This is perfect for streamlining your workflow and improving the amount of time spent in post-production.

Carrying on the legacy of the original NT1 and NT1a models, this 5th Gen evolution from Rode benefits from another gold-sputtered HF6 capsule and one of the lowest self-noise ratings on the market at just 4dBA. In line with Rode’s commitment to quality, the NT1 5th Gen Microphone capsule comes internally shock-mounted to minimise external vibrations. The body is also machined from high-grade aluminium with nickel plating and military-grade ceramic coating, ensuring this microphone is ready to take on the rigours of recording day in, day out.
