How quickly can the SmallRig VB155 mini V Mount Battery charge?
The VB155 supports up to 100W USB-C input, so when connected to a suitable USB-C charger, the battery can reach full charge in about 3 hours. The BMS and fast-charging protocol chip manage the charging process, allowing the battery to draw high power while monitoring voltage, current, and temperature. You can also charge it through the BP port, a 16.8V D-Tap charger or USB-C. That gives you several practical ways to prepare the battery before a shoot or between setups.
What can I power from the VB155?
The battery can power cameras, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, monitors, follow-focus systems, image transmitters, LED video lights, phones, tablets, and laptops. The BP and D-Tap outputs support higher-draw video gear, while the USB-C, USB-A, 8V, and 12V outputs power smaller accessories and mobile devices. When several items are plugged in together, the independent circuit design allows the ports to operate simultaneously rather than relying on a single shared path. This is useful when a compact rig has a camera, monitor and wireless system all drawing power.
What does the OLED screen show?
The OLED screen displays battery level, remaining usage time, voltage, power and general battery status. When you press the smart switch, the screen lights up so you can check the battery before connecting gear or while it is charging. A double-click switches the display between voltage and power during charging or discharging. This provides a clearer view of what the battery is doing than a simple LED bar does, especially when several devices are connected.
How does the smart switch work?
A single click can wake the screen, restore full brightness after dimming or turn the display off when it is already at normal brightness. A double-click changes the displayed information between voltage and power during charging or discharging. Holding the button for three seconds forcibly turns off the USB-C, USB-A and DC discharge ports. A single click or reinserting the plug restores port operation, which is useful when you want to stop accessory drain without disconnecting the whole battery setup.
What safety features are built into the battery?
The VB155 uses LG A-grade 18650 high-rate cells and a Battery Management System to monitor behaviour during charge and discharge. The protection system covers overcurrent, short-circuit, over-temperature, and over-voltage conditions, so the battery can react when the electrical load or heat moves outside its safe range. Its fire-resistant PC shell also resists heat and flame, giving the internal pack a tougher outer body for everyday handling. The battery meets MSDS, UN38.3, IEC 62133, UL2054 and UL 62368 standards, with CCC, FCC, CE, RoHS, ISED, RCM, PSE, KC, BIS and TISI certifications.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR (representative) on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
